lyrics

Second by Second
(Mercier/Mercier)

The dry winds of too many winters fade away
Though the season has gone
You say the weather will stay
Like it's a part of the past
Not worth hiding away
Now that the laughter has gone
You say the smile will remain
You say something will remain

How come no one waits for me?
How come you never wait for me?

And all the snow that's melting on my face
Is falling from a different place
I realise it's not the same for me
I shouldn't wander up there endlessly
Maybe you don't know but when it rains
Such friction feeds a bigger flame
Just don't expect it to get even
Remember March 27th
Second, Second
Second by Second

Remember everything second by second
I know you're not to blame
If I'm going insane
But if I was to burn up in flames here
You'd say something will remain
You'd say something will remain
You'd say something will remain
You'd say something will remain
But I'm damn sure nothing will
